Advanced Aeration, Inc. at World Ag Expo, Tulare, CA
Advanced Aeration, Inc.'s Vacuum Bubble®Technology
(VBT™) was featured at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California February 8th to 10th
Over 30 dairymen visited the booth and discussed the use of VBT™
in dairy operations with Tom Hickey, AAI's National Sales Manager, and Warren
Hutchings of Western
Milling, LLC. Other key visitors to the site were representatives of
companies who design dairies and representatives of companies who produce
bacteria used to augment aeration in the treatment of organic waste
materials.
The booth showcased the outstanding results of using VBT™in
dairy lagoons in Iowa. Within the first 60 days at the Iowa dairy -
- BOD was reduced by 75%
- TSS was reduced by 65%
Iowa State University Assistant Professor Steven J. Hoff, Ph.D., worked in
conjunction with AAI to measure the odors and the concentrations of different
gases in the air above the Iowa dairy lagoon.
- Odor dropped by 80% in 2 weeks
- And by 95% in 6 weeks
- Hydrogen Sulfide was reduced by 90% in 2 weeks
- Ammonia concentrations were reduced by 70% in 6 weeks
Progress at the California Dairy, Bos #2 is shown in the photos that
follow:
- BOD Reduced by 83%
- Total Solids Reduced by 48%
- Sludge Reduced by 29"
The dairy industry is feeling the pressure of regulations to manage its
waste, and communities are more and more vocal about the odors from these large
operations. VBT™time and again has proved its effectiveness in
enabling these dairies to operate within the regulatory constraints, and to be
good neighbors.
Watch this space for other shows in the US where VBT™ will be on
display.
